Riverdale Funeral Uniforms
These cheer uniforms were made from a stretch denim twill, which gave them some structure to keep the pleats crisp, but also gave them stretch throughout the torso and hips. The “R” patches were custom embroidered from Etsy. The spider brooch on the top of the capes were designed and 3D printed by Curtis. Since he used ABS for the 3D printer filament, we were able to create an acetone vapor to smooth the prints, rather than gessoing and sanding the highly intricate shapes. Even so, the spider legs didn't want to print together on the 3D printer, so we printed them flat, and then heat shaped them onto the bodies of each spider. The black-green gems in the body of the spider were created from Castin Craft’s Polyester Resin onto Mod Podge’s gem mold. We caught up with the cosplayers at Dragon Con to get some photos!
